Abdul Mutalib is a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering Technology, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). He received PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia (UiTM) in 2011 and also attach at Reliability Technology Research Center, Daegu University, South Korea. For the administrative position, he has serves as a Head of Industrial Engineering Laboratory from 2004 to 2006. Head of program (Plant Engineering Technology) 2012-2016. He also serves as Technical committee for Translational Research 2023 (under Ministry of Higher Education). He undertakes graduate student supervision and consultancy works in those areas national and international. He also acts as diploma program advisor in Polytechnic in Mechanical Engineering under Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and assessors in several government and private institution. He serves as visiting professor for Kookmin University, South Korea in 2015-2016. He also serves as External Examiner for Bachelor Degree in Polytechnic, Diploma program in IKTBN Temerloh and Occupational Safety and Health under TATI University Collage and several university as well. 1 projects for Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS), 5 projects under MyRIVET and also served as a head for a few project previously such as Malaysian Technical University Network (MTUN) Grant, 3 projects for Innovation and Commercialization Incubator (uder ICI, UTHM), and 3 project for Public-Private Research Network (PPRN). And serve as internal and external examiner for more than 30 students of Post Graduate candidature.
